New Zealand Tui bird feasts in Hazelwood Mapua Garden

The persimmon fruit hangs like golden lanterns and offers a delicious feast for Tui, Silver Eye and Sparrow alike.

Whatever the weather you can sit and watch them enjoying this delicious fruit. I guess I should harvest them but it's a shame to deprive these very cool birds of a yummy feast.

In the summer you can watch the birds feasting on other fruits and the nectar of the Pohutukawa and Flax flowers.

A perfect place for bird watching whatever the season.
